I do like to put a few cours in front of my army when I'm fighting a ranged army. They can sponge so much damage with their ranged resistance.

it can work nice to pull you through a dangerous situation, to power through or to break a deadlock. yet it should still be a last resort option, a sort of safety pull. it works as a surprise not really as a main strat.

Once you're in fortress age with French, you can mass goons +skirms and then it requires a good micro :pirate:

Everybody says 'otto is the best because of strong units and free villies' without remembering that their units are also expensive and their villies are slow to train and have a cap at 25 (without again expensive upgrades). I don't think otto is necessarily the best, but it is almost certainly the easiest due to low micro and never having an idle TC
