kay, i found a solution and the game works except that i cant play on gamranger cuz it says that my version and patch of aom doesnt match with the host's one...

You need to download the crack (found on the first post) and replace it with your current AoMx through program files.

Follow the instructions in the "Read Me". You need to replace the AoMx file in your main Age of Mythology directory AFTER you've patched it.

My installation doesn't work. I followed the instructions to the letter and I get the "DirectX 8.1 or later is required" box. I have tried to install directx but is incompatible on Win 10.....sigh.
